Hyderabad, Sept 7 (INN): Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Sunday asked as to why TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was not campaigning for BJP candidate Jagga Reddy in Medak by-elections.
Addressing an election meeting in Medak in favour of TRS candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Harish Rao alleged that all parties have realised that they were bound to lose the by-elections for Medak Lok Sabha seat. Therefore, all top leaders including Chandrababu Naidu, cine star Pavan Kalyan and other central leaders of BJP were restraining from participating in the election campaign in favour of Jagga Reddy. He alleged that Jagga Reddy was given ticket at the instance of Chandrababu Naidu who wanted to test the waters by sensing people’s response to a candidate who supported Samaikhyandhra in the past. Therefore, Jagga Reddy has been fielded only as a guinea pig by the Seemandhra politicians, he alleged.
Harish Rao said that both Jagga Reddy and Congress candidate Sunitha Lakshma Reddy were non-entities in Medak by-elections and TRS is all set to win the elections with a huge majority.
