Jagan released from Chanchalguda Jail

Hyderabad, Sept 24 : Almost 16 months after his arrest, YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was released from Chanchalguda Central Jail here on Tuesday afternoon.

Jagan, who was granted bail by the CBI Court on Monday in the Disproportionate Assets case, came out of the prison at about 4 PM on Tuesday after the completion of formalities. Thousands of YSRCP activists assembled outside the Chanchalguda Jail since morning to have a glimpse of their leader. They raised slogans and danced in front of the jail.

Clad in checks-shirt, Jagan breathed the air of freedom and waved at his supporters with a huge smile.

Jagan is being brought in a massive procession from the jail to his residence at Lotus Pond. Elaborate security arrangements were made around the jail premises and large number of security personnel have been deployed all along the procession routes.

The YSRCP president was granted conditional bail by a special CBI court which directed that he be enlarged on bail on submission of Rs 2 lakh personal bond and two sureties of like amount. The court has also asked him not to leave Hyderabad without intimation. INN
