SCR to introduce two new Express Trains on May 28

Hyderabad, May 25 : The South Central Railway will introduce two new Express Trains – Secunderabad-Shalimar (Kolkata) Air Conditioned Weekly Superfast Express and Kacheguda-Madurai Weekly Express, as announced in the Railway Budget 2012.

These two new Express Trains, on their Inaugural run will be Flagged Off from Secunderabad Railway Station on 28th May at 11 00 hrs by Minster of State for Railways Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy and Secunderabad MP M Anjan Kumar Yadav in the presence of other public representatives and dignitaries.

According to the SCR, for the inaugural service, the Train No. 02774 Secunderabad-Shalimar A/C Superfast Express on its inaugural run will depart Secunderabad on 28th May at 11 00 hrs and arrive Shalimar at 14 35 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 02773 Shalimar-Secunderabad A/C Superfast Express will depart Shalimar on 29th May at 19 00 hrs and arrive Secunderabad at 22 00 hrs on the next day.

In regular service, the Train No. 12774 Secunderabad-Shalimar A/C Weekly Superfast Express will depart Secunderabad every Tuesday from 4th June at 05 30 hrs and arrive Shalimar at 09 05 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 12773 Shalimar-Secunderabad A/C Weekly Superfast Express will depart Shalimar every Wednesday from 5th June 2013 at 16 05 hrs and arrive Secunderabad at 19 00 hrs on the next day.

Enroute these trains will stop at Warangal, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Rd, Brahmapur, Khurda Rd, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack , Balasore, Kharagpur and Santragachi stations in both the directions.

These trains will comprise of one First AC, three AC II Tier, eleven AC III Tier and two Generator cum Brake Van Coaches totalling to seventeen coaches.

Similarly, Train No. 07615 Kacheguda-Madurai Weekly Express on its inaugural run will depart Kacheguda on 28th May at 11 00 hrs and arrive Madurai at 12 00 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07616 Madurai – Kacheguda Weekly Express will depart Madurai on 29th May at 15 00 hrs and arrive Kacheguda at 16 00 hrs on the next day.

In regular service, the Train No. 17615 Kacheguda-Madurai Weekly Express will depart Kacheguda at 06 05 hrs every Saturday from 1st June and arrive Madurai at 07 00 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 17616 Madurai – Kacheguda Weekly Express will depart Madurai at 12 50 hrs every Sunday from 2nd June and arrive Kacheguda at 14 05 hrs on the next day.

Enroute these trains will stop at Mahboobnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool Town, Dhone, Ananthapur, Dharmavaram, Madanapalle Rd, Piler, Pakala, Chittoor, Katpadi, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirrapalli, Dindigul and Kodaikanal Rd stations in both the directions. These trains will comprise of one AC II Tier, two AC III Tier, seven Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van coaches totalling to eighteen coaches. INN
