Hyderabad, Aug 3 (INN): Director General of Police Anurag Sharma has shown the newly designed Hyderabad Police Patrolling and Traffic vehicles to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at his residence on Sunday morning.

Two designs of Innova model cars and one Motorcycle were shown to the Chief Minister. KCR has seen the vehicles in detail including the design part, the front and rear seating arrangements, the dickey design part, the coloring part, the placement of logo, the size of the letters etc.,

 The Chief Minister after eliciting the views of several persons who are present there approved the designs. While appreciating the designs, KCR has made couple of suggestions and advised some changes. They include increasing the font size of the lettering on the front side, slight adjustments in the logo placement as well as change of the motor cycle side box and instead go for a small kit bag on the rear side of the motor bike.

Deputy Chief Minister Md. Mahamood Ali, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, I.G. (Provisional and logistics) Naveen Chand, Addl. IGP (Int.) B. Shivadhar Reddy, S.P. (Int.) Ramesh were also present.

Venkaiah asks TS, AP to prepare development plans Sun, 03 Aug 2014 09:37:20 +0000

Hyderabad, Aug 3 (INN): Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday appealed to the Governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to work in coordination to ensure overall development of both Telugu speaking States.

Addressing a press conference at his residence here, Venkaiah Naidu said that he had held detailed discussions with Nara Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao and advised them to devise mechanism to ensure proper utilisation of Central funds in their respective States. Further, he said steps should also be taken to prevent misuse of funds and other irregularities. He said that the Centre was ready to help both the States and each of them should come out with their development plans. He said he had shared his vision for Urban Development in both the States and several schemes would be implemented in near future.

Venkaiah Naidu also offered to coordinate between the two States on controversial issues.

The Union Minister made it clear that the Centre would release funds only for the elected local bodies. Therefore, he said that the elected local bodies in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should ensure that they make full use of Central funds meant for various schemes. He said that the Centre would focus on transparency and accountability in all the departments. He said there would be zero tolerance to corruption and irregularities in all departments.

Venkaiah Naidu also informed that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley would meet Congress leaders on Monday to discuss the Insurance Bill.

CM selects two car models for Telangana police force Thu, 31 Jul 2014 15:38:27 +0000

Hyderabad, July 31 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has finalized two models of news cars to be inducted into the police force. He took the decision during a review meeting with the senior police officials at the State Secretariat here on Thursday.

Earlier, Director General of Police Anurag Sharma, along with his team, made a presentation on Branding and Image Building Vehicles for Police Department. Various designs of vehicles proposed to be procured by the department were shown to the Chief Minister. After eliciting views of all those present in the meeting the Chief Minister selected two models of cars – one meant for Law and order patrolling and another for Traffic and Highway patrolling. The blue model with police logo is for law and order and the other is for highway patrolling.

The law and order car and bike design was done by one Gopi Fakeera and another done by Ibrand India, a design company. This work was executed through Administrative Staff College of India. The vehicles will be fitted with GPS and Tablet PC besides barlights, siren and PA system.

Advisors to CM Ramana Chary and Papa Rao and Principal Secretary to CM S Narsing Rao were present in the meeting.

It may be mentioned that the Telangana Government has recently sanctioned Rs 271.97 crore for purchase of 3,883 new vehicles for Hyderabad and Cyberabad police equipped with facilities like 4-G, GPS, laptops and supporting staff. It was done as a part of modernisation of police force on the lines of New York and London police.

Purchase of 1000 MW power from Chhattisgarh gets CM’s nod Thu, 31 Jul 2014 15:21:05 +0000

Hyderabad, July 31 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has given green signal to the officials of the TRANSCO and Electricity Department for signing the MoU with Government of Chhattisgarh for purchase of 1000MW of power. He also instructed the officials to promote solar roof top net metering in urban areas.

The decision was taken during a meeting attended by Prl. Secy to Chief Minister S. Narsing Rao, Prl. Secy. Energy SK Joshi, TRANSCO Managing Director Syed Rizvi, Joint Managing Director Karikeya Mishra and other officials.

Hyderabad, July 31 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will address the meeting on ‘Intensive Household Survey’ on Friday.

The meeting, to be attended by the officials of Revenue and other related departments, will be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) at Madhapur at 11 AM. The Chief Minister will be addressing the officials on the gigantic survey of nearly 83 lakh families in Telangana State.

Telangana industrial policy would be world’s best: KCR Wed, 30 Jul 2014 14:11:22 +0000

Hyderabad, July 30 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao told a group of delegation led by Piramal Group chairman Ajay Piramal that the Telangana Government’s new industrial policy would be the world’s best and would be finalized within the next one or two days.

The Chief Minister said that the government’s industrial policy would be implemented in its letter and spirit. A chasing cell would be monitoring from the Chief Minister’s office on the progress of investment in the industrial sector by industrialists from all over the country and abroad. He said that the government would identify land, declare that land exclusively meant for industrial purpose, develop it in all aspects, provide power and water and then would be placed at the disposal of the industrialists.

KCR said that right now about two lakh acres of land is available to establish industries and all this would be allotted to Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) and the whole area would be brought under single window act. The Chief Minister also said that the single window would be made a reality and a special single window act would be brought soon.

The Chief Minister recalled his meeting with Azeem Premji of WIPRO couple of days ago who promised to come to Hyderabad to establish Industries where 5000 persons could be provided employment.

KCR offered Piramal to provide required facilities and told him to come and establish industries of their choice. The Chief Minister said in future there would be zero corruption in the State unlike in the past. He also said that after declaration of the Industrial Policy, it simply requires for an industrialist to download application from the website and fill it and apply for an industry. After establishing the genuineness of the applicant on scrutiny in a day or two, a call would go to the industrialist to come to Hyderabad and meet the Chief Minister.

The prospective industrialists would be received at the airport by the State government protocol department and would be straight taken to the Chief Minister for presentation of the case and discussions. The Industrialists need not go to several places for clearances and through single window all clearances would be given in two weeks time. The Chief Minister said that, a pack containing the clearances would be handed over to the industrialists.

Replying to the issue of power shortage, the Chief Minister while agreeing that there is shortage said that, to the present 4000MW Thermal Power an additional 2350MW of Power would be added by 2015. In addition the mandatory Power Project of 4000MW from NTPC dedicated to Telangana would also come up soon. The Chief Minister assured that, on completion of three years, Telangana would be power surplus state and to this effect short term, medium term and long term plans are being drawnup.

The Chief Minister said people of Telangana after tasting the previous regime’s mistakes and bad experiences have chosen this government. He said the duty of this government is to put every thing on right track. The Chief Minister said that, with in the next three to four months to come Telangana would be the most happening State in the country for investment and other aspects.

KCR touching upon the subject of his government’s intension to conduct a comprehensive survey said that the biggest problem with any government is non availability of statistics. To over come this, he said, that, the government discussed thoroughly and developed a format to conduct a survey and collect data pertaining to all the 84 lakh households. This would be done on a single day said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister told Piramal to make use of the proposed pharma city in and around Telangana where he can have his industry and residential colony for his employees all at one place.

Hyderabad, July 30 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has assured to take all measures for the welfare of Christian community in Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons after taking a delegation of Christian priests and other religious leaders to the Chief Minister, TRS MLA Srinivas Goud said that KCR was briefed about the problems of Christian community in the State. He said attacks on Christian priests, land for graveyards, education and health were the major issues which were discussed with the Chief Minister. He claimed that KCR has given a patient hearing and assured all assistance to the minority community.

KCR to convene meeting with Revenue officials on Aug 1 Wed, 30 Jul 2014 13:09:56 +0000

Hyderabad, July 30 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will conduct a detailed review meeting with the top officials of Revenue Department on August 1.

The meeting will be attended by Collectors and Joint Collectors of all 10 Districts, 42 RDOs and 429 MROs. The economic survey of 83 lakh families in the State, new ration cards and land distribution among poor are likely to figure in the agenda for the meeting, according to sources.
