TDP to support KVP’s SCS Bill

Hyderabad, July 20 (INN): The Telugu Desam Party has decided to extend its support to the Private Member’s Bill on demanding Special Category Status to AP introduced by Congress MP KVP Ramachandra Rao.

The KVP Bill is expected to come up before the Rajya Sabha on Friday, party sources said.

TDP leader B Umamaheshwar Rao on Wednesday informed reporters that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had already made an announcement in this regard. Stressing that for TDP, there was nothing more important that to develop the state, the TD leader said that the party would extend complete support to the Bill

Rao, however, took a dig at the Congress saying that the party was responsible for all division of state, which he said had hurt the AP’s interests and added that the Congress paid a heavy price for its ‘sin’ (of dividing the state) in the 2014 election. (INN)
