Hyderabad, July 19 (INN): Congress hopes to make much out of the Private Member’s bill introduced by party MP, KVP Ramachandra Rao, demanding Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
AICC general secretary and party in-charge of AP Digvijay Singh on Tuesday discussed the issue with KVP and PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy. Sources said that the leaders discussed the way to corner the BJP-led NDA government on one hand, and to seek the support of TDP and BJP MPs from the state for the bill on the other. Now that the Bill is live, it has potential to do much more than the State leaders could press for the SCS so far. (INN)
