Hyderabad, July 18 (INN): TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy came down heavily on TRS government accusing it of taking unscientific approach in taking up projects.
Addressing media persons here on Monday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that there was no need for a project like Mallannasagar but the state government is adamant in going ahead with the project. He accused that the authorities were neglecting his requests for the detailed project report (DPR) when he asked them to provide one. He also accused the government of misleading the oustees and demanded that the compensation to the oustees should be paid according to the provisions of Land Acquisition Act 2013.
The TPCC chief said that the party was organizing a power point presentation on irrigation projects at its headquarters, Gandhi Bhavan, on July 23 and added that the party would expose the lies of the TRS government.
He also said that the government should immediately stop land acquisition for the project and warned the TRS government that it would pay a heavy price if it goes ahead with the project.
