CPM warns Centre against atomic plant at Kovvada

Visakhapatnam, July 17 (INN): CPM national secretary Prakash Karat said that his party would oppose the establishment of atomic power plant in Kovvada in Srikakulam.

Addressing a protest meet here on Sunday, Karat said that the proposed plant would be detrimental to the locals and would pose danger to the environs. He said that the Centre should change its mind respecting the public opinion. He said that the party would intensify the protest against the plant if the Centre goes ahead with its plans for the power plant at Kovvada. (INN)
