Vijayawada, July 15 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stressed the need for promoting the brand image of Andhra Pradesh around the world. He said his foreign tours are aimed at promoting Amaravati and Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons after returning from Russia tour, at CM camp office in Vijayawada on Friday, Naidu said AP should be developed as cluster of Defence equipment and Aerospace. He said Russia is ahead in aerospace, defence and oil gas sectors. The INNOPROM-2016 exhibition held with India as a partner country helped to discuss with Russian government and industrialists for investments in AP. He said AP is ahead in IT and Pharma sector and Russia wants tie up in both the sectors.
The Chief Minister said that AP entered into MoU with State Marine Technical university at St Petersburg to introduce Marine technology in our university. He said another MoU signed with JSC Alexeev’s Design bureau and Elcom Systems private limited to manufacture and operate Hydrofoils in AP.
Naidu said that his tour aimed at attracting investments for AP, industrial development, improving employment opportunities and providing an opportunity to local entrepreneurs to emerge as global entrepreneurs.
He said Chelyabinsk province governor Boris assured to extend cooperation to set up industries in AP. He said a Russian cluster would be developed in AP to attract Russian industries. A working group would be formed with five member committee on both sides for better coordination to promote industries in the state.
The Chief Minister said as per the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi he visited Astana, a city of lakes. He said 150 architects were engage for development of the world class city. He said Astana city and Amaravati has several similarities. He said that he is visiting several countries to develop Amaravati as a best city. He said he is not interested in developing another slum city and taking precautions at every stage to develop Amaravati as world class city. (INN)
