Hyderabad, Dec 23: BJP State President G. Kishan Reddy on Wednesday demanded that the TRS Government release the schedule for construction of 10,000 units of 2BHK houses in the city, whose foundation was laid by Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao and other ministers.
Speaking to media persons here, Kishan Reddy accused the TRS Government of misleading the people with false promises on the issue of construction of 2BHK houses. He said except for completion of a few hundred units in IDH Colony, nothing has been done for weaker section housing. He said that the State Government has no plans or funds to implement the scheme. He said that the State Government should release the complete schedule of construction of all 10,000 units if was serious about its implementation.
Kishan Reddy said that the BJP Government at the Centre has sanctioned 67,794 houses in Telangana under various schemes. However, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and KTR have been trying to take credit for Central Government schemes. He also slammed KTR for criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not visiting Telangana State. He said that the State Government never invited the Prime Minister for any function. (INN)
