Hyderabad, Aug 11: Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Tuesday accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Reddy of making tall and unrealistic claims of development.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Ponguleti said that the annual budget of all Southern States too would prove insufficient to fulfill the promises being made by KCR. Stating that only 19% of the total budget has been spent in the last four months, he demanded that the government issue a White Paper on the State’s financial condition. He asked the Chief Minister to clarify as to how he proposes to arrange funds for ‘Grama Jyothi’.
Ponguleti also condemned YSRCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy for criticising AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi over the issue of Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. He reminded that Jagan’s father and late Chief Minister Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy wanted Rahul Gandhi to become the next Prime Minister of India. By making a derogatory statement against Rahul Gandhi, Jagan has hurt the soul of his late father, he said. (INN)
