Army Jawan among four commits suicide

Hyderabad, Feb 25 (INN): In separate cases, four persons, including an Army Jawan, committed suicide due to different reasons.

The Army Jawan, Satish Kumar, 25, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Ellareddyguda on Wednesday morning. According to SR Nagar police, Satish came to his house on vacation on February 7 and reportedly suffered a paralytic attack on February 15. Depression over sudden deterioration of health condition is suspected to have driven Satish to suicide.

In another case, 34-year-old M Patnaik committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison. He was a centering worker and suffering from ill-health. He was staying in a friend’s house close to his residence in Veerappaguda in Uppal police. He resorted to the extreme step on Tuesday and was declared brought dead when rushed to Gandhi Hospital, according to Uppal police.

In a similar case, M Shekar, 28, committed suicide allegedly due to ill-health. He consumed some unknown poison at his residence in Maheshwaram on February 18 and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday. He was married about four years ago and had one son and a daughter. His wife, along with children, had gone to meet her parents on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on February 17 and therefore, he was alone at his house when he resorted to the extreme step, Maheshwaram police said.

In another case, N Yadaiah, 50, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Boduppal on Wednesday morning. He was a barber and is suspected to have committed suicide due to financial problems, according to Medipally police.

Two persons die of electrocution

A 24-year-old man died of electrical burn injuries which he sustained at his residence in Alwal police limits.

The deceased, K Seenu, a mason, accidentally touched a live electric wire while trying to switch on the geyser at his residence in Telecom Colony on Tuesday. He was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where he died a few hours after admission.

In another case, K Bhagya Raj, 26, died of electrical burn injuries which he suffered on December 19 at an electrical sub-station near Moula Ali. According to Malkajgiri police, Raj, along with two other unidentified persons, went to the sub-station to steal copper wire. However, Raj got electrocuted and was abandoned by his other accomplices. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Tuesday night.

Pedestrian killed in road accident

A 32-year-old man succumbed to the injuries which he sustained after being hit and run by an unidentified vehicle.

According to LB Nagar police, B Muthaiah, a labourer and native of Narayanpur of Nalgonda district, suffered grievous injuries after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle while he was crossing the road at Orange Hospital near LB Nagar crossroads on February 23. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Tuesday night.
