Six-yr-old girl killed in road accident

Hyderabad, Feb 6 (INN): A six-year-old girl died on the spot after she was hit by an auto-rickshaw in Jawahar Nagar police limits.

The victim, K V Swathi, met with the accident while she was trying to cross the road near her residence in Shanti Nagar on Thursday evening. A case has been registered against the auto-rickshaw driver. The police handed over the body to the relatives after an autopsy was conducted on the same at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary on Friday.

Woman among four commits suicide

In separate cases, four persons, including a woman, committed suicide due to different reasons.

In Mahankali police limits, 43-year-old B Satish committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Old Bhoiguda of Secunderabad on Thursday night. Satish was a financier and suffered huge losses in business. The same is suspected to have driven him to suicide.

In another case, T Madhavi, 28, succumbed to the burn injuries which she suffered after setting herself ablaze. She took the extreme at her residence in Hanuman Nagar on February 4 and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Thursday night. According to Kushaiguda police, Madhavi resorted to the extreme step after having an argument with her husband Balu over some trivial issue.

In a different case, 50-year-old Narayana Borai committed suicide by setting himself ablaze. He resorted to the extreme step at his residence in Greenfield Colony on Thursday. He was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where he succumbed a few hours after admission. He was a businessman and ill-health is suspected to be the reason behind suicide, according to Alwal police.

In the last case, 32-year-old K Narsing committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Uday Nagar on Thursday night. According to Banjara Hills police, Narsing, a cobbler, was reportedly under some mental depression which is drove him to suicide.

Three persons killed in road accidents

A 55-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a RTC bus near Sayeedabad crossroads on Friday morning.

The victim, Md Abdul Nabi, was a watchman in Noor High School in Kurmaguda and used to reside in the same premises. He was a native of Karnataka. He met with the accident today at about 9.45 am when he went out to attend some work near the school, according to Sub-Inspector Parmeshwar.

In another case, 30-year-old E Ashok died on the spot after he was hit by an unidentified bus near Tarnaka on Thursday night. According to Osmania University police, Ashok, a resident of Habsiguda, met with the accident while trying to cross the road.

In a different case, B Chandrashekar, 32, died on the spot when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a tipper lorry on Kontlur road on Thursday night. He was a production manager in a private firm and resident of Nagole. A case has been registered against the lorry driver for rash driving, according to Hayathnagar police.

Unidentified woman killed in road accident

An unidentified woman died on the spot after she was hit by a train between Hafizpet and Chandanagar railway stations.

According to Nampally Railway Police, the deceased, aged about 40 years, was hit by the train while she was trying to cross the tracks on Thursday night. Her body has been preserved at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem and identification. (INN)
