Parliamentary Secretaries get Minister of State rank

Hyderabad, Jan 27 (INN): The Telangana Government on Tuesday issued orders conferring the status of Minister of State for the Parliamentary Secretaries in the State of Telangana.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had appointed six Parliamentary Secretaries. They are V. Srinivas Goud, Kova Laxmi, Vodithala Satish Kumar, Gadari Kishore Kumar, Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and Jalagam Venkat Rao. They were also attached to different ministers.

“The position is personal to the dignitaries concerned for the duration of the term of their office,” GO Rt No 270 issued by General Administration (Poll.A) Department on Tuesday said.

All the Departments of Secretariat, Heads of Departments, District Collectors and Commissioners of Police / Superintendents of Police have been directed to extend proper courtesies, reception, accommodation, transportation and security etc., to the Parliamentary Secretaries during their visit to the Districts, on par with the Minister of State for the duration of the term of their office.

The Resident Commissioner, Telangana State Bhavan, New Delhi, too has been directed to extend proper courtesies, reception, accommodation, transportation and security to six Parliamentary Secretaries during their visit to New Delhi. The officials have been asked to follow the orders scrupulously without room for complaints.
