Three killed in road accidents

Hyderabad, Jan 23 (INN): In separate cases, three persons were killed in road accidents at different places in the city.

In the first case, 45-year-V Yadaiah, an ex-serviceman, succumbed to the injuries which he suffered when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an unidentified car on Satamrahi Road on January 15. He was admitted to the DRDO Apollo Hospital where he died today.

In another case, P Butchi Reddy, 55, died of injuries which he sustained on January 2 when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by another bike coming from opposite direction near his residence in Kotwalguda of Shamshabad. He died at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday night while undergoing treatment, according to RGIA Police.

In a separate case, P Narasimha, 40, succumbed to the injuries which he sustained when the motorcycle he was riding skidded near Chandrayangutta crossroads on January 21. He was admitted to the OGH where he died today. He was a resident of Palamkol in Shamshabad, according to Chandrayangutta police.

Two pedestrians killed in road accidents

A 59-year-old man pedestrian died on the spot after he was hit by a speeding lorry near Nagole crossroads.

According to LB Nagar police, the accident occurred on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Rama Subramaniam, a resident of Gokul Nagar near Ramanthapur.

In another case, an unidentified man of about 50 years suffered grievous injuries after he was hit by a speeding car while he was crossing the NH7 Kurnool Highway on Thursday night. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The Rajendra Nagar police have preserved his body at the OGH mortuary for post-mortem and identification.

Two housewives commit suicide

In separate cases, two housewives committed suicide over trivial issues.

The 36-year-old woman, Anees Begum, succumbed to the burn injuries which she suffered after setting herself ablaze following an argument with her husband Hussain Zaidi over Rs 500/-. She took the extreme step at her residence in Barkas on January 20 and died at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday night.

In a similar case, Jayashree, 46, committed suicide by setting herself ablaze after having an argument with her husband Srinu over some trivial issue. She resorted to the extreme step at her residence in Mettuguda on Thursday night and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Friday, according to Chilkalguda police.

Painter dies under mysterious circumstances

A 37-year-old man, who was found unconscious with multiple injuries, died at the Gandhi Hospital on Friday.

According to Malkajgiri police, the deceased, B Anthony, a painter, was found lying unconscious on Thursday night. He had multiple injuries on his body. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital by the local passersby. He succumbed to the injuries on Friday.

Police suspect that Anthony, a resident of Tukaramgate in Secunderabad, might have been either been hit by an unidentified vehicle or attacked by some unknown assailants. Police began investigations after registering a case of suspicious death. (INN)
