Financial problems drive three persons to suicide

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (INN): In separate cases, three persons committed suicide allegedly due to financial problems.

In Pahadishareef police limits, 32-year-old P Raju, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Balapur on Wednesday night. He was a contract worker with the GHMC.

In another case, M Venkatesh, 38, who had consumed poison on January 19, died at the Osmania General Hospital on Wednesday night. He was a tailor and resident of RTC Colony in Ramanthapur, according to Uppal police.

In a similar case, 37-year-old B Vigneshwar, a labourer, died after consuming some unknown poison. He resorted to the extreme step at his residence in Bhoiguda on January 20 and died at the Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday night, Gandhi Nagar police said.

Two pedestrians killed in road accidents

A 29-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by RTC bus near Ghatkesar petrol pump.

The accident occurred on Wednesday evening. According to Ghatkesar police, the deceased, B Nagaraju, a mason and resident of Dilsukhnagar, was hit by the RTC bus while he was trying to cross the road.

In another case, R Narasimha, 25, succumbed to the injuries which he suffered after being hit by a motorcycle near his house in Kirtala Nagar of Amberpet on January 15. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Wednesday night. He was a painter.

Two persons killed in road accidents

A 48-year-old man died of severe injuries which he sustained after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and hit a road divider.

According to police, the accident occurred near Shamirpet on Thursday morning. The victim was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. He has been identified as K Krishna Reddy, a resident of Jaganguda and employee of a private firm.

In another case, S Ellaha, 40, an artist, died of injuries which he suffered when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an unidentified car in Shamirpet police limits on Wednesday. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Thursday. He was a resident of Mulugu in Medak district.

Labourer dies after falling from stone crushing machine

A 20-year-old labourer died of severe head injuries which he sustained after falling down from a stone crushing machine.

The incident took place in Kandukur police limits on Wednesday. The deceased, KV Bikya, a resident of Kodangal, was immediate shifted to the Nizam’s Institute of Medial Sciences (NIMS) at Panjagutta where he died on Thursday morning.

Elderly man dies after consuming acid

A 70-year-old man died after consuming acid in the Shamshabad police limits.

The deceased, Pedda Yadaiah, came to his residence in Siddhanti village on Wednesday night in inebriated condition and consumed acid. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he succumbed on Thursday morning.

Loneliness drives man to suicide

A 40-year-old man committed suicide as he was not getting a match for marriage.

According to Kukatpally police, the deceased, Dilip Ghosh, a labourer, took the extreme step at servant’s quarters in Ramco Vista Apartments on Wednesday night. He had no relatives and his attempts to get a match for marriage prove futile. He was reportedly under depression and resorted to the extreme step.

Intermediate girl commits suicide

An 18-year-old girl committed suicide after she was chided by her parents for not going to college.

According to Kandukur police, the deceased, P Monika, was studying intermediate second year. However, she was not going to college for the last few days due to ill-health. On Wednesday, she was rebuked by her parents for not being regular to college. Felt humiliated, she had set herself ablaze. She was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where she died a few hours after admission.

Man falls from rooftop, dies

A 28-year-old man died of injuries which he sustained after falling down from the rooftop of his house during sleep.

According to Maheshwaram police, the victim, S Ramesh, a driver, was sleeping on the rooftop of his house in Ameerpet on January 20. During sleep, he fell down and sustained a severe head injury. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Thursday. (INN)
