City gets over 11 cm rainfall in nine hours

Hyderabad, Aug 31 (INN): The areas under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits received over 11.3 centimetres of rainfall in less than nine hours on Sunday.

According to the GHMC, 27 out of 34 mandals under GHMC received a total of 30.8 cm of rainfall from 8.30 AM till 5 PM on Sunday. Jeedimetla received the maximum of 21 mm of rainfall followed by Quthbullapur – 20.75; Jubilee Hills – 19.25; Ameerpet – 17.50; Serilingampalle – 17.25; Chilakalguda – 15.25; Uppal – 14.25; Malkajgiri – 14; Ramachandrapuram – 13.5; Maredpally – 13; Shaikpet – 12; Asifnagar – 11.25; Amberpet – 11; Saidabad – 11; Serilingampalle – 10.75; Himayatnagar – 10.50; Balangar – 10.50; Ghatkesar – 10.25; Nampally – 9.25; Malkajgiri – 9.25; Golconda – 9.25; Tirumalagiri – 7.50; Saroornagar – 7.50; Rajendranagar – 6; Uppal – 5.25; Secunderabad – 1.25 and Bahadurpura registered a rainfall of 0.5 mm.
