Tummala, Balaneni meets KCR

Hyderabad, Aug 29 (INN): In a significant development, senior TDP leader and former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here on Friday.

Tummala was accompanied with TDP MLC Balaneni Laxminarayana. The meeting assumes significance in view of reports that he is likely to join the TRS in the first week of September. According to sources, Tummala may join the TRS on September 5.

It may be mentioned that Tummala has kept himself away from TDP over a period of time and also did not attend the Mahanadu held in May this year. The TRS is likely to offer him the post of MLC and also a berth in State Cabinet. His entry might strengthen the TRS in Khammam district.
