KCR promises single-window clearances for reality projects

Hyderabad, Aug 29 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has promised to introduce a new policy for the real estate sector to ensure single-window clearances for all the reality projects in the State.

Speaking after inaugurating the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI)’s Hyderabad Property Show- 2014 at Hitex on Friday, KCR said that the Telangana Government realises the importance of reality sector and would take all steps to promote it. Despite being larger in size compared to Delhi, he said Hyderabad was not developed in a scientific manner by the previous regimes. He said lakhs of people are earning their livelihood due to construction industry and the government would ensure that it grows without any glitches.

KCR assured to convene a meeting with all the stakeholders to identify and resolve the problems being faced them. He also assured that his government would have zero tolerance to corruption by introducing the world’s best single-window system for clearance of reality projects. He also explained the features of Chasing Cell which he is setting up as part of the CMO to attract investments.

The Chief Minister said that a proper master plan for Hyderabad was not drawn. The encroachments on storm water drains went unchecked and the system was neither regulated nor disciplined. He said that the government would soon replace nearly 4,000 street-lights with LEDs. There is also a proposal to constructed two super high ways connecting East-West and North-South corridors. He said the first four-lane super highway would be constructed between Ramchandrapuram and Vanasthalipuram. A regional ring road parallel to Outer Ring Road would also be constructed. Government would invest nearly Rs 10,000 crore on construction of 1,000 km roads of international standards. All cables in the city would be taken underground through a duct.

KCR assured the real estate industry of all assistance for their projects in the State.

Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, CREDAI president Sekhar Reddy and other officials and non-officials also participated.
