TDP accuses KCR of ignoring students’ welfare

Hyderabad, Aug 16 (INN): TDP Deputy floor in Telangana Assembly Revanth Reddy on Saturday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of ignoring the welfare of students’ community.

Addressing the meeting of Telugu Nadu Students Federation at NTR Trust Bhavan here, Revanth Reddy said that the TRS Government failed to take a single step in last 75 days for the welfare of students of Telangana. He slammed the Chief Minister for delaying the EAMCET counselling and taking the matter to the Supreme Court. He said that the government was forced to initiate counselling process on the directions of Supreme Court. He asked KCR to explain as to who should be held responsible for wasting the precious time of Telangana students.

Revanth Reddy said that KCR praised the active participation of students during the Telangana movement. However, he completely distanced himself with the students after coming to power. He appealed to Telangana JAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram to intervene and pressurise the government to take up students’ welfare.

The TDP leader also alleged that KCR was born in Bihar, came to Vizianagaram and then migrated to Hyderabad. Now he is trying to project himself as taller than the Telangana ideologue Prof Jayashankar. KCR has been exploiting all sections of the society and pushing the Telangana State into backwardness, he alleged.
