Cong MLC accuses TRS Govt of ignoring Urdu

Hyderabad, Aug 10 (INN): Congress MLC MS Prabhakar on Sunday accused the TRS Government of completing ignoring the Urdu language in Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Prabhakar said that contrary to the claims of being pro-minority, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao did nothing practical to prove his claims. He condemned the non-publication of forms of Comprehensive Household Survey in Urdu language.

Prabhakar said that the previous Congress regime declared and implemented Urdu as the second official language in 13 districts of undivided Andhra Pradesh. However, by ignoring Urdu in survey, KCR has proved his non-seriousness on the protection and promotion of language.

He also alleged that all ministers in KCR’s cabinet were without any powers. Citing instances, he said while Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, who also holds Revenue portfolio, was ignored during Collectors’ Conference, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy is being ignored during Chief Minister’s review meetings on Law and Order situation.
