GHMC Standing Committee stops demolition of illegal buildings

Hyderabad, July 17 : The Standing Committee of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has unanimously resolved to stop the demolitions of unauthorized constructions on immediate basis.

The Standing Committee, which met here at the GHMC Headquarters under the chairmanship of Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain, asked GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar to write to the State Government seeking regularization of unauthorized buildings. The committee also recommended action against the concerned Section Officers and Assistant City Planner who ignored the construction of illegal buildings in their areas.

The Standing Committee has also unanimously resolved to stop the issue of trade license as per the new rates. It has aksed the officials to follow old rates until new rates are approved by the Standing Committee.
