CLP meet on June 5 to elect new leader

Hyderabad, May 30 : The Telangana Congress Legislature Party (TCLP) will have its first meeting on June 5 to elect a new leader.

According to sources, all elected members of Telangana Assembly and other members of the Legislature Party have been asked to participate in the meeting on June 5. Former Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikaramarka, former ministers K Jana Reddy, T Jeevan Reddy and DK Aruna are in the race for the post of CLP leader which eventually enable them to become the Leader of the Opposition in Telangana Assembly. Sources say that the Congress High Command might prefer Vikramarka for the post for him being a Dalit. However, Aruna is also being viewed as a strong contender for the post.  INN
