Venkaiah Naidu slams Congress for not wishing Modi

Hyderabad, May 19 : BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday condemned the Congress party for not even greeting Narendra Modi for his victory in the elections.

Addressing a press conference here, Venkaiah Naidu alleged that the Congress party has ignored its moral reponsibility of wishing BJP and Narendra Modi for their success in the elections. He said that the Congress party should learn to respect the verdict of the people. He said even Pakistan and Bangladesh Governments have extended their best wishes to Narendra Modi and expressed confidence that he would maintain cordial and friendly relationship with their countries.

Venkaiah Naidu thanked people for their overwhelming support to the BJP which resulted in party winning 282 seats on its own. He said that the BJP’s claims of NDA winnin more than 300 seats also came true. He said that the BJP received positive votes across the country although some people gave their negative votes to punish Congress for its corruption, bad governance and dynasty politics. He said the BJP had lost in some seats with small margins.

The BJP congratulated the Telangana Rashtra Samithi for its success in Telangana and hoped that it would constitute a people-friendly government. He said that people have voted for TDP-BJP combine in Seemandhra for their past record of good governance. He said YSR Congress Party president Jagan Mohan Reddy had lost the elections due to his inefficiency and arrogance.  INN
