Jagan and KCR are poles apart: YSRCP

Hyderabad, May 10 : Strongly objecting to Telangana Congress spokesman Sravan’s remarks that TRS president KCR has a secret pact with its president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSRCP asked the Congress not to attribute to them a non-existent relationship.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, party spokesman Gattu Ramachandra Rao expressed surprise that the Telangana Congress leader, who has been with KCR till recently, chose to level such a baseless charge.

“KCR agitated for separate Telangana state while Jagan Mohan Reddy vehemently opposed the division and fought for keeping the state united as it would not be possible to develop the backward areas if the state is bifurcated. They fought two different wars. The purposes and ideology of both parties are totally different. How can you level such a wild and baseless charge in view of the fact that they are north and south poles apart?” he asked

Asserting that YSRCP has nothing to do with KCR press meet, Gattu said there is nothing new in what he said. “That YSRCP is going to form the Government in Seemandhra is as powerful a fact as the statement that Sun raises in the east,” he said and added: “Entire world knows that YSRCP, on a winning streak, will continue its success story and Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to become the CM.

Referring to KCR remarks that the Telangana Government would work in close coordination with the Seemandhra Government, Gattu said there is no wrong if he wishes to have friendly relations with the government of a neighboring state

Gattu strongly condemned Sravan’s remarks that Jagan Mohan Reddy was responsible for the death of 1500 students in Telangana. Asking him not to spread canards and throw mud on Jagan Mohan Reddy, Gattu said Congress and its president Sonia were responsible for the deaths in the state and the distress of the people.

“There is no need for us to curry favor with any one or any party. Whoever is the CM in Telangana, we will put pressure on him to implement YSR welfare schemes. Apart from that, we will also try to come to power in Telangana on our own in due course of time,” Gattu averred.  INN
