Medak MLA quits TDP

Hyderabad, April 6 : As a fallout of TDP’s alliance BJP, Medak MLA Mynampally Hanumanth Rao on Sunday resigned from the TDP.

Speaking to media persons here, Hanumantha Rao said that he was resigning from the TDP in protest against the attitude of party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He claimed that Naidu had promised about four years ago of giving him the ticket from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat. However, now the Malkajgiri seat has been allotted to the BJP as part of seat-sharing pact. Therefore, he said he was resigning from the party in protest against Naidu’s broken promises.

Hanumanth Rao also announced that he would he would contest the next elections as an independent candidate.  INN
