Mayor visits Anees Ul Ghurba orphanage

Hyderabad, Jan 1 : GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain said that it is his prime duty to spend some of his time with destitute people to create motivation among them to live a better life in their future.

The Mayor has visited Asia’s oldest historical orphanage ‘Anees Ul Gurba’, established in the year 1921, consisting of 110 child inmates, near Nampally Railway station and Amanvedika Snehaghar Boy’s home near Bible house, Secunderabad, consisting of 60 children to celebrate new year among orphan children and distributed sweets and fruits to them. He said that being the first citizen of Hyderabad he wanted to send a message to the public that these people doesn’t want money or something else but they want a feeling belongingness, which can only be delivered by spending some of their time with them.

Majid Hussain further stated spending time with them has made him more responsible towards the society and ignited his zeal to do something good for them and gave him the pleasure that he has never experienced in his life time. He has promised to provide school uniforms, namaz caps and namaz carpets to the inmates of ‘Anees Ul Gurba’ very soon on his own along with the play equipment from GHMC that they have requested for. He further promised to the children of Boys shelter home that he will sanction all the necessary repairs required for the shelter home.
