Man found unconscious near BVB School dies at OGH

Hyderabad, Dec 16 : A 65-year-old man, who was found lying unconscious on a footpath near Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan of Jubilee Hills, died at the Osmania General Hospital.

According to police, the man, who was later identified as K Rangappa of Film Nagar Huts, was found unconscious on December 11 and was later shifted to the OGH where he died on Monday. Police suspect that he might have committed suicide by consuming poison.

Housewife dies of burn injuries

Hyderabad, Dec 16 : A 53-year-old woman died of burn injuries which she suffered while cooking food at her residence.

According to Dabeerpura police, the deceased, Parveen Begum, suffered burn injuries on November 10 at her residence in Azampura. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment where she died on Sunday night.

Mystery shrouds death of missing man

Hyderabad, Dec 16 : A 57-year-old man, who was missing since December 3, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Shamsabad police limits.

The deceased, Gopal Singh, a financier, did not return home in Afzalgunj since December 3. His relatives had also lodged a missing complaint in the Afzalgunj Police Station. However, on Monday his highly decomposed body was found in Palamkul. The authorities have conducted the post-mortem at the spot itself.

Police registered a case of suspicious death and began investigations.

Five killed in road accidents

Hyderabad, Dec 16 : In separate cases, five persons were killed in road accidents in different parts of the city and its outskirts.

In Malkajgiri police limits, a 50-year-old died on the spot after he was run-over by a car. According to police, the deceased, M Yadagiri, a resident of Tukaramgate, was going on a bike on Sunday evening. He fell down from the bike after being hit by an auto and got run-over by a car which came from the backside. He died on the spot.

In another case, 22-year-old Md Naseeruddin died on the spot when the bike he was riding was hit by a RTC bus near Balanagar crossroads on Sunday night. He was a driver and resident of Musheerabad.

In a separate case, 29-year-old K Naresh of Medchal died of injuries which he suffered on Friday after he lost control over motorcycle and hit a buffalo on the road. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died on Monday, Pet Basheerabad police said.

In Raidurgam police limits, a 23-year-old man suffered grievous injuries when the bike he was riding was hit by a speeding car near Nanakramguda crossroads. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. He was later identified as Sunder Kala, a student and resident of Jagatgirigutta.

In another case, P Santosh Kumar, 27, died of injuries which he suffered on December 8 after the bike he was riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Vanasthalipuram police limits. He was undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital where he succumbed on Monday, Vanasthalipuram police said. He was a medical representative and resident of LB Nagar.

Teenager among four commits suicide

Hyderabad, Dec 16 : A 19-year-old girl committed suicide allegedly due to the harassment by a boy in the neighbourhood.

According to Shalibanda police, the victim, Rekha, was allegedly being harassed by a local boy Prithivi by trying to propose to her for friendship. Rekha felt humiliated when her parents learnt and enquired about it with her. She took the extreme step on Monday morning. Police began investigations after registering a case.

In another case, K Ayyalam, 43, committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Krishna Nagar of Bholakpur on Sunday night. According to Gandhi Nagar police, Ayyalam was facing some financial problems and the same are suspected to have driven him to suicide.

In Chandrayangutta police, a 22-year-old woman, Manvi Singh, committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Indira Nagar on Monday. She was married to Ravi Singh about three years, but the couple had no children. The same is suspected to be the reason behind the suicide, police said.

In another case, a MBA student of IBS College at Dontapally committed suicide in his hostel room. According to Shankarpally police, the deceased, Yogesh Kumar Yadav, took the extreme step on Sunday evening. The reasons that led to the extreme step are yet to be ascertained.

Auto Driver held for raping married woman

Hyderabad, Dec 16 : The Jubilee Hills police on Monday arrested one auto driver who allegedly raped a 30-year-old married woman.

The accused, Siraj Ahmed (36) of Video Galli, Rahmathnagar, has alleged aped the woman, who was a resident of Brahmashankar Nagar of Jubilee Hills and native of Mahabubnagar district a few days ago. A case was lodged after the victim and her husband lodged a complaint with the police. A manhunt was launched to arrest the accused and finally he was caught on Monday. The accused is being been sent to judicial remand, Jubilee Hills Inspector D V Pradeep Kumar said.
