Venkaiah asks Congress to begin pack-up from Delhi

Hyderabad, Dec 8 : BJP Senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday advised the Congress party to prepare for an exit from the corridors of power in New Delhi after next General Elections in 2014.

Addressing a press conference at the State BJP Headquarters at Nampally, Venkaiah Naidu described the results of Assembly elections in four States as slap on the arrogance of Congress party. He said that the ‘mini-general elections’ have also endorsed the popularity of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. He said that the people have already made up their mind to make Modi the next Prime Minister of the country and as a prelude, they brought BJP to power in four States.

Venkaiah Naidu said that Aam Aadmi Party’s performance in Delhi reflects that the educated and elite sections have trusted his promises. He said it would be seen how he implements those promises. However, he said that the BJP would form government on its own in Delhi.

Similarly, he said that the BJP made a clean sweep in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh primiarly due to Modi factor. He said that the Congress got some sympathy votes in Chattisgarh, especially in Bastar and Jaggamdampur, due to the Maoist attack. Else, it would have been washout for the Congress party. INN
