Infant baby girl’s body found near dust bin

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : The Afzalgunj police found the dead body of an infant baby girl, aged about 10 months to one year, near a dustbin at opposite the CBS Family Quarters at Gowliguda open land.

According to sub inspector J Veera Babu, the infant is suspected to have been dumped near the dustbin by the relatives on Tuesday afternoon. The body has been shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Further investigations are on.

Sub-Inspector dies of heart attack at Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : A 57-year-old sub inspector on Tuesday died of a heart-attack at a minister’s house where he was posted as an Escort Incharge.

According to Jubilee Hills Police, J Krishna, an Armed Reserve Sub-Inspector from Premnagar in Amberpet, was on duty as incharge at MPs’ Colony in Jubliee Hills on Tuesday. At around 10.30 AM he fell down on the floor while going to the bathroom. He died on the spot.

Krishna was suffering from heart ailment for the last one year, police said.

26-year-old man stabbed to death by history sheeter

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : A brawl between two groups led to the murder of a 26 year-old-man at Langar Houz on Monday night. The victim, identified as Mohd Awais, a car driver from A-Battery lane Mallepally, was stabbed with a sharp object seven times leading to his death, the police said.

On Monday night, the deceased along with his friends went to meet Mohd Firdous, a history sheeter of Banjara Hills police station and Lateef after the latter called him to Nanalnagar near Shah Ghouse Hotel at Tolichowki on the pretext of discussing some issues. Heated arguments took place during their discussion leading to a scuffle and stabbing, said Asifnagar ACP GP Vinod Kumar. The victim was rushed to a private hospital where he died while undergoing treatment a few hours later, he added.

The Langer House police registered a case under Section 302 R/W 34 of IPC (Murder) and began investigations. The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

Preliminary enquiries by the police revealed that Awais and Firdous were friends in the past but developed differences over certain land disputes. Awais was also involved in the murder attempt case and was a worker of a political party, the official said. A special team has been formed to arrest the accused.

Financial problems drive two persons to suicide

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : In separate cases, financial problems drove two persons to suicides in the limits of different police stations.

A 43-year-old man, Anil Bansal, committed suicide by hanging at his residence at Jawahar Nagar in Jeedimetla police limits on Tuesday. He was a native of Haryana and was involved with stock market business. He suffered heavy losses in business and the same are suspected to have led him to suicide.

In another case, 22-year-old M Mohan, who consumed poison on November 23, died at the Gandhi Hospital on Tuesday morning. He was a resident of Peddamul and an agriculturist, police said.

Unknown woman’s body retrieved from lake

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : The Saroornagar police have retrieved the body of an unidentified woman from the Saroornagar tank.

According to police, the woman is aged about 40 years and her body was retrieved on Monday evening. The body has been preserved at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy and identification.

5-year-old girl succumb to burn injuries

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : A five-year-old girl who suffered severe burn injuries died at the Osmania General Hospital on Tuesday.

According to Kukatpally police, the girl, K Lakshmi, caught fire while playing with a match-box at her residence in Balanagar on November 17. She was admitted to the OGH where she died today.

Woman succumb to accidental burns

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : A 22-year-old woman died of burns which she suffered while cooking food.

According to Karankote police, the deceased, L Shantamma, suffered the burns on November 23 while preparing food on a wooden stove. She succumbed to the burns injuries on Tuesday at the Gandhi Hospital where she was undergoing treatment.

Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : A 52-year-old man suffered grievous injuries when he was hit and run by an unidentified car while he was trying to cross the road in Raidurgam police limits.

The accident occurred on Tuesday morning. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The Raidurgam police later identified the deceased as N Ramappa, a resident of JMC Labour Colony of Khajaguda.

Two killed in train accidents

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : A 35-year-old man died on the spot while trying to get down from a running train at Jamia Osmania Railway Station.

The incident occurred on Platform No 1 of Jamia Osmania Station on Monday evening. The Kachiguda Railway Police later identified the deceased as R Raju Kumar, an employee of a private firm and resident of Bhavani Nagar of Dilsukhnagar.

In another case, 38-year-old Y Srinu died on the spot after he was hit by a train while he was trying to cross the tracks between Yakutpura and Dabirpura Stations. Srinu was a resident of Yakutpura and native of Mahaboobnagar, Kachiguda Railway Police said.

GHMC sweeper found dead

Hyderabad, Nov 26 : The Begumpet police on Tuesday found the body of a 52-year-old woman near TDP office in Anna Nagar.

The deceased, P Lakhsmi, was a sweeper in the GHMC and resident of Rasoolpura. Her body has been sent to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of her death. Further investigations are on.
