Palakonda Municipal Commissioner in ACB net for taking bribe

Hyderabad, Nov 20 : P Nagabhushanam, Municipal Commissioner, Srikakulam district was caught red handed by the A.C.B. officials on Wednesday at his office when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs 12,000 from the complainant M. Samba Murthy for sanction of approval for the building plan submitted by the complainant for construction of additional room to the existing house of the complainant.

Both the hand fingers of the accused officer yielded positive result in chemical test. The bribe amount of Rs.12,000 was recovered at the instance of accused officer from a cover which was kept inside the left side upper table drawer in the chamber of the Municipal Commissioner. The cover from which the bribe amount was recovered also yielded positive result.

The Accused Officer is being arrested and produced before the ACB Court, Visakhapatnam. The case is under investigation, according to a ACB press release here. INN
