Shankar Rao to construct Sonia Temple in Nandigama

Hyderabad, Nov 18: Former Minister Dr P Shankar Rao has announced that he would construct the temple for Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Nandigama near Shadnagar.

Speaking to media persons here, Shankar Rao said that he owns about 9.5 acre land in Nandigama where he would construct the temple for Sonia Gandhi. He said he was doing so to thank Sonia Gandhi for accepting the demand for formation of Telangana. Further, Shankar Rao informed that he was writing a letter to the President of India and Group of Ministers (GoM) to name Telangana State after Sonia Gandhi. He said that name should be included in the Telangana Bill itself.

Criticising Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for opposing Telangana, Shankar Rao said that Surya Namaskar is done at the time of sunrise and not during afternoon. Similarly, he said that the Chief Minister was trying to stop Telangana after the Centre almost completed the process of State’s division. Accusing him of insulting the minister P Balaraju, who belongs to the Scheduled Tribes, Shankar Rao demanded that the Chief Minister resign from his post and tender an apology to all the STs in the State.
