Police ask owners to claim abandoned vehicles

Hyderabad, Nov 9 : The Hyderabad City Police on Saturday informed that several vehicles were lying abandoned in the premises of various police stations.

After verification it has been found that as many as 894 vehicles, including two and four-wheelers, are lying in different police stations of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad since a long time without any one claiming them. Some of the vehicles are involved in criminal cases. The details of the vehicles consisting of vehicle registration, engine and Chasis numbers are available in e-cops. The unclaimed vehicles are available for inspection in 61 Law & Order police stations of Hyderabad City.

The city police have requested that the people, who lost their vehicles, to check-up with the vehicle details available in e-cops in local area police stations and physical verification of vehicles can be done in concerned police station. After the verification, the vehicles owners have been requested to claim their vehicles by producing the ownership details such as RC books. INN
