TDP MLAs held after protest at CM’s office

Hyderabad, Nov 2 : Several TDP MLAs were taken into custody by the Hyderabad Police when they staged a dharna before Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s camp office at Begumpet here on Saturday.

The TDP MLAs claimed that their appointment with the Chief Minister was scheduled at 11.30 AM on Saturday. However, when they reached the camp office to submit a memorandum seeking immediate measures to help the farmers affected due to recent heavy rains, the Chief Minister was not available. Accusing the State Government of having failed to help the farmers in distress, the TDP MLAs staged a sit-in protest.

However, the police immediately swung into action and took the TDP MLAs into custody and shifted them to SR Nagar Police Station. INN
