Wife’s nephew stabs man to death

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : A 34-year-old man was stabbed to death his wife’s nephew in the Asif Nagar police limits on Friday.

According to inspector J Narsaiah, the deceased, Md Irfan, was allegedly stabbed by 24-year-old Amjad Shareef, his wife Sajida Begum’s nephew at his residence in Saber Nagar. Irfan, a bag-maker and native of Bihar, was married to Sajida about five years ago and the couple had a three-year-old son. However, Irfan used to beat her wife on regular basis. On Friday too, while Irfan was beating Sajida, Amjad Shareef intervened and out of rage stabbed him with a knife. He died on the spot.

On information, police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Police began investigations after registering a case of murder against Amjad, who is absconding, on a complaint lodged by Sajida Begum.

 

Welder commits suicide

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : A 40-year-old man committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train at Sanathnagar Railway Station.

The Nampally Railway Police later identified the deceased as G Nagaraju, a welder and resident of Gajularamaram of Ranga Reddy districts. The incident happened on Thursday evening. The reasons that led Nagaraju to suicide are yet to be ascertained, police said.

In another case, 35-year-old B Venkataiah of Dharur, who consumed some unknown poison on October 28, died at the OGH on Thursday night. According to Dharur police, he allegedly took the extreme step due to the financial problems that he was facing.

 

Elderly woman dies of electrocution

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : A 55-year-old woman who got electrocuted on October 27 died at the Osmania General Hospital while undergoing treatment.

According to Narsingi police, the deceased, G Kanthamma, was electrocuted after he accidentally touched a live wire at her residence in Khanapur. She was admitted to the OGH where she died on Thursday night.
Security guard murdered by colleague

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : A 21-year-old security guard was brutally murdered allegedly by his colleague after both had an argument over some trivial issue.

According to Madhapur inspector Venkateshwarlu, the deceased, Ghousuddin Laskhkar, had an argument with his colleague near his residence in Ayyappa Society on Thursday night and out of rage, he allegedly hit Lashkar with an iron rod on the head. He fled from the spot while Laskhar was profusely bleeding and later died on the spot.

Police registered a case of murder and started investigations. Laskhar was a native of Assam.
VRO arrested for taking bribe

Adilabad, Nov 1 : The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested the Village Revenue Officer of Murrimadugu of Adilabad district for accepting bribe.

The accused officer, Battala Lachanna, 57, was caught red handed by the ACB Officials at his residence when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 13,000 as bribe from the complainant, to mutate the agricultural land of the complainant’s mother and his younger mother measuring about 13 Guntas”.

The bribe amount of Rs. 13,000 was recovered from him. He has been arrested and will be produced before the IInd Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.

 

Missing woman’s body found in lake

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : The Alwal police retrieved the dead body of a woman was reported missing from her home in Hasmathpet.

According to Alwal police, a missing complaint was lodged on October 26 by one Mallesh stating that his wife, Mallamma, left the house on October 25 after having an argument with him and did not return. Her dead body was found floating in Hasmathpet lake on Thursday and was retrieved by the police. Police suspect that Mallamma might have committed suicide.
Woman dies of accidental burns

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : A 31-year-old woman died of burn injuries that she suffered on October 18 while cooking food at her residence in Medipally.

The deceased, P Sandhya, was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where she died in the early hours of Friday while undergoing treatment. Medipally police handed over the body to the relatives after an autopsy was conducted at the Gandhi Hospital mortuary.
Girl commits suicide after quarrel with neighbours

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : An 18-year-old girl committed suicide after having a quarrel with her neighbours on some trivial issue.

According to Nacharam police, the deceased Rajni Chowdhary, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan at her residence in Annapurna Colony of Mallapur on Thursday night. A few hours before she took the extreme step she had an argument with the neighbours and was allegedly mentally depressed.
Painter’s found dead under suspicious circumstances

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : A 32-year-old man was found dead near his house under suspicious circumstances.

According to Kukatpally police, the deceased, A Kumar, a painter, was found lying dead under mysterious circumstances near his residence in Vijayanagar Colony on Thursday evening. The body was immediately shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death. Further investigations are on.
SSC student among four killed in road accidents

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : A 15-year-old boy died of injuries which he suffered after he was hit by a speeding car while he was trying to cross the road near Saroornagar crossroads.

The boy, Ramavath Rajender, a student of 10th Class and resident of Saroornagar, met with the accident on October 30 around 9 PM. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he died in the early hours of Friday. The Saroornagar police registered a case of negligent driving against the car driver and began investigations.

In a separate case, 26-year-old M Swamy, who was injured on October 30 after he fell down from the bike that he was riding along with his friend Ramesh, died at the OGH late on Thursday night, according to Pahadishareef police. He was a centering worker and resident of Jalpally of Saroornagar.

In another case, 45-year-old K Srinu died after he was hit by an unidentified car while crossing the road near Anant Reddy Garden in LB Nagar police limits on Thursday night. On being shifted to a nearby hospital he was declared brought dead. He was a resident of Gandhi Nagar Colony.

In a different case, 36-year-old S Govind Raj, was killed after he was hit by a bike while crossing the road near Shamirpet on Thursday. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he succumbed in the early hours of Friday. Shamirpet Police registered a case against the bike rider. Govind, a lorry cleaner was a native of Tamil Nadu.
