18-month-girl killed in road accident

Hyderabad, Oct 31 : In a case of hit and run, an 18-month-old baby girl died of injuries that she suffered after being hit by an unidentified car.

According to Malkajgiri police, the deceased, S Lavanya met with the accident while she was playing near her home in RK Nagar Huts on Wednesday evening. She was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where she died a few hours after admission. A case of rash driving has been registered against the car driver and further investigations are on.

 

IAS aspirant among two commits suicide
Hyderabad, Oct 31 : In separate cases, two persons committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan for different reasons.

According to Chikkadpally police, 27-year-old M Vinod took the extreme step at his residence in Jawahar Nagar on Wednesday night. He was preparing for Civil Services exams and family disputes are suspected to be the reason behind suicide.

In another case, G Shiva Kumar, 28, who consumed some unknown poison at his residence at Shamshabad on October 29, died at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday morning. According to police, Shiva resorted to the extreme step due to financial problems.

 

Student’s body retrieved from lake
Hyderabad, Oct 31 : The Kukatpally police retrieved the body of an 18-year-old boy who drowned in Maisamma lake while swimming.

The deceased, R Ramakrishna, a student of Moosapet, was drowned in the lake on October 29. However, his body could be retrieved only on Wednesday. The body was handed over to the relatives after an autopsy was conducted on the same at the Gandhi Hospital mortuary on Thursday.

 

Lorry driver killed in road accident

Hyderabad, Oct 31 : A 25-year-old driver died on the spot after he was run over by another lorry which was coming reverse while he was standing near his parked lorry.

The accident occurred near Bollaray Railway Station. The deceased, Ramulu, was a native of Nalgonda. Alwal police is investigating the case.

 

Housewife falls from height, died

Hyderabad, Oct 31 : A 26-year-old woman died of injuries which she suffered after falling down from the third floor of her residence.

The deceased, Venkata Ramana, fell down from her residence in Reddy Colony of Champapet of West Godavari district. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment. She is a native of West Godavari and came to the city about three months ago for her daughter’s treatment.

 

Two killed in train accidents

Hyderabad, Oct 31 : A 24-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a train while he was trying to cross the tracks on Platform No 2 at Ghatkesar Railway Station.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening. The deceased was later identified as G Sushil Kumar, an MBA student and resident of Ghatkesar.

In another case, the Kachiguda Railway Police found the body of an unidentified man, aged about 35, years on the railway tracks between Sitaphalmandi and Arts Colleges. He died after being hit by a train. The body has been preserved at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
