CM not floating new party: Sailajanath

Hyderabad, Oct 29 : State Minister and Seemandhra Legislators Forum Convener S Sailajanath on Tuesday claimed that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had no plans to float a separate party.

Talking to reporters here, Sailajanath said that the Chief Minister was only making efforts to keep the Andhra Pradesh united. Therefore, his statements and opposition to bifurcation of State should not be viewed as a revolt against the Congress party and its leadership. Being the Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy is in the forefront to lead the movement against State’s division.

Sailajanath dismissed reports that Kiran Kumar Reddy was considering floating a new party either by resigning from the Congress or forcing the High Command to take action against him leading to his removal from the post. He said that there was no basis for such reports and they were mere speculation by a section of media.

He announced that the Seemandhra leaders of Congress party would continue their fight for a united State till the end. INN
