Seemandhra MPs asked to appear in person over resignations

New Delhi, Oct 14 : The Secretariat of Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has asked the MPs from Seemandhra region to appear in person in connection with the resignations that they submitted in protest against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Sources say that the Lok Sabha MPs – Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, K Bapiraju, Magunta Subbarami Reddy, Harsh Kumar, K Narayana Rao and Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy have been asked to appear in person. These MPs have resigned after the Congress Working Committee took decision in favour of Telangana formation.

It may be mentioned that Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal has approached the Delhi Court seeking its intervention in acceptance of his resignation. This case is posted for hearing on October 22. INN
