APNGOs condemn attack on Seemandhra employees

Hyderabad, Sept 8 : Andha Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers union president Ashok Babu condemned the attacked on the buses of Seemandhra employees while they were returning after participating in the public meeting held at LB Stadium on Saturday.

Ashok Babu, along with other leaders of APNGOs on Sunday, visited the Apollo Hospital to meet Satyaranarayana of Rajahmundry, an employee of Revenue Department, who was injured due to stone pelting on the buses. Talking to reporters later, he alleged that some unidentified pro-Telangana activists came on two-wheelers and attacked 11 buses at different places in which Seemandhra employees were returning home after attending the public meeting. He claimed that six employees were severely injured due to the attack and medical aid was being given to them by the APNGOs.

Condemning the attack, Ashok Babu said that violence would only complicate the situation. He said that the APNGOs had no objection if pro-Telangana organisations want to hold a public meeting in Guntur. INN
