SEC permits Teachers’ Eligibility Test notification

Hyderabad, July 9 : The State Election Commission on Tuesday permitted the School Education Department to issue notification for the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET).

The SEC said since TET was just an examination and not recruitment, there was no problem in issuing the notification. The State Government had sought the SEC’s permission in view of Gram Panchayat elections.

As per an earlier notification, the applications for TET examination were scheduled to be received from July 15 and examinations were to be held on August 25. However, the School Education Department was planning to reschedule the exams. INN
