OU student to represent India in Korean Taikwando Championship

Hyderabad, July 1 : Jarapulavath Babulal Naik, a Post Graduate student of Mass communication and Journalism of OU, is representing India to participate in the prestigious WTF Chunchiyan Open Taikwando Championship-2013 to be held in South Korea from July 4th to July 9th.

Of the ten participants selected from India, Jarapulavath Babulal Naik is the only participant from Andhra Pradesh.

Jarapulavath Babulal Naik so far won four gold medals, two silver medals and seven meritorious medal for his victories in International Taikwando competitions. In 2001 he won the first prize in Taikwando competitons at Andra Pradesh School level and in 2008 he won the prestigious WTF 3rd Dan Korea. He got training from Taikwando master Devadas.

He rose to heights from a humble background with his sheer determination and hard work. OU VC Prof. S Satyanarayana congratulated J Babulal Naik on bringing laurels to Osmania University.

The Head Department of Physical Education and the Faculty wished J Babulal Naik all the best in the upcoming tournament in South Korea. INN
