GHMC canteen closed for being unhygienic

Hyderabad, June 21 : GHMC Additional Commissioner (Health and Sanitation) L Vandan Kumar on Friday ordered the immediate closure of canteen in the GHMC Headquarters at Tank Bund.

Vandan Kumar, along with his team, conducted a surprise visit to the canteen and found that it was unhygienic. While asking the officials to send the food samples for testing, he ordered the immediate closure of the canteen.

Later, he also raised a pan shop in the GHMC Headquarters premises and seized cigarettes and gutkha packets. He was surprised that despite ban, those items were openly sold in the GHMC Headquarters. INN
