DG-Dial 100 Centre receives over 8100 emergency calls

Hyderabad, June 2 : The D.G Dial-100 Command and Control Centre received and acted upon as many as 8,122 emergency calls in the month of May.

According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner CV Anand, the Dial-100 Centre received 2,963 calls related to accidents, 54 for Acts disrupting public peace, 1,665 for Bodily offences, 534 for Offences against women, 256 of Property Offences, 379 of suicides and 2,271 for other offences.

The DG – Dial-100 was inaugurated by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on April 11 this year at GVK-EMRI at Kompally. The purpose of this process was to ensure that the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) at the Police Station receives/attends the Police emergency dispatch call from the DG-Dial – 100 Command and Control Centre, assesses the situation, informs the emergency to the SHO and ensure Police response team attends to the emergency.
