City Police arrest 13 people for selling porno clips

Hyderabad, January 10 : The Commissioner’s Task Force on Thursday arrested 13 people for uploading obscene videos in memory cards and selling Porno Graphic Materials and Pirated DVDs/VCDs of latest released Movies at various place in the City in order to curtail porno and piracy.

The Task Force teams have also a total 12 Computers, 85 DVDs/VCDs, 11 Memory Cards along with Card Readers, from the possession of the accused. The arrests and seizures were made by the Task Force teams by conducting raids at different internet cafes.

The Central Zone team arrested one person Medabala Ashok who was running Music Fans DVD Shop at Kavadiguda. He was allegedly selling porno DVDs and also latest released Movie DVDs/VCDs like “Koo Antey Koti” and “Genuius”. The police seized a total 46 Porno DVDs, 16 Telugu Movie pirated DVDs, 11 English Movie pirated DVDs and 22 Hindi Movie pirated DVDs from his possession.

Similarly, the East Zone team apprehended three persons – S Srikanth of Vijaya Mobile and Internet Shop at Amberpet, P Srikanth of Sri Laxmi Ganapathi Mobile Shop at Saidabad and E Vamshi Krishna of Apple Internet Center Shop. They were allegedly uploading obscene and porno clippings in the Memory Cards to needy customers and seized a total of three computers and two Memory Cards along with two Card Readers from their possession.

The North Zone team arrested two persons – C Srikanth of Punyapathi Mobiles at Begumpet and T Ashok of Sri Durga mobiles at Begumpet, while they were uploading obscene/porno clippings in the Memory Cards to needy customers. A total of two computers and two Memory Cards along with two Card Readers have been seized from their possession.

The West Zone team apprehended four persons for uploading obsence/porno clippings. The accused have been identified as R Anil Kumar of Sri Ganesh Web World at S R Nagar, Syed Mateen Hussain of S M Mobiles at Jubilee Hills, Sravan Kumar of Sri Ranga Communication at Jiyaguda and Rahul Singh of Sri Shiv Sai Ram at Puranapool. As many as four computers and four Memory Cards along with four Card Readers have been seized from their possession.

Likewise, the South Zone team arrested three persons – R Praveen Kumar of Global Communications at Uppuguda, K Amarnath of Crystal Computers at Chatrinaka and Mir Junaid Mohsin of My friends Internet shop at Shahgunj, while they were uploading obscene/porno clippings in the Memory Cards to needy customers, and seized three Computers and three Memory Cards along with (02) Card Readers from their possession.

According to Additional Commissioner of Police P Rameshaiah, these raids were conducted in order to prevent the illegal acts of Internet Centers, etc., in supplying the pornographic material to youth, which causes sexual excitements and corrupt their minds and thereby increases the chances for youth to involve in illegal activities.
